Manicure Monday

 

Diagonal Duo

 

You may use any 2 colours for this look, however the two colours I chose were: LA Girls Disco Brites in the colour Freak (NL78) and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear in the colour Black Out.

1. For this look paint every nail Pink.

 

 

2. Once completely dry place a piece of scotch tape diagonally on your finger nail covering half of it.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Then paint the uncovered half black. Wait till it is dry then remove the tape. Apply a clear coat.

5 Random Questions

 

Hey Guys,

 

For todays post I decided to chose 5 random questions to answer so you could get to know me a little better.

 

1. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

 

I take a long time to get ready in the morning, if I have showered the night before it will probably take me about an hour if I have to shower that morning probably an hour and a half. I like to take my time and not be rushed.

 

2. Heels or Flats?

 

I am definitely a heels girl, flats are more practical in my everyday life right now however I am only 5'1 so any chance to be taller I will take it.

 

3. What is your eye colour?

 

My eyes are green but they can change to look blue or even gray sometimes depending on what I am wearing.

 

4. Do you have any piercings or tattoos?

 

I do not have any tattoos, and the only piercings I have are 1 hole on each ear lobe. I would like to get a second hole but I have been saying I was going to get it for so long now and I still haven't.

 

5. What are you currently wearing?

 

Currently as I am writing this post I am wearing pyjama pants and a sweater.

DIY

 

Sunglasses Holder

 

I like this idea because before my sunglasses sat in a drawer and would rub against each other and get scratched but now that will not happen and it leaves space in my drawer for something else.

 

 

Materials:

- Picture Frame (This one if from the dollar store)

- Ribbon

- Duct Tape

- Scissors

- Sunglasses

- Ruler

 

Steps:

 

1- Start by taking your picture frame and remove the glass or back of it so you only have the frame.

 

2- Decide how many rows of sunglasses you want to have and the orientation of the frame you want.

 

3- Cut the ribbon according to the amount of rows you would like and the length needed.

 

4- Measure out where you would like the ribbon and the distance between each row.

 

 

5- Tape the ribbon on one of the sides using duct tape and them pull the ribbon so that there is tension, then tape then other side.

 

 

6- Continue for the desired number of rows.

 

 

7- Hang the frame on a wall, or stand it up like mine. (Eventually it will be hung)

 

8- Hang sunglasses on the ribbon.

Manicure Monday

Half Moon Manicure

 

For this look I used Silver for the “moon”and dark blue for the “sky”.The silver I used was wet “n” wild Metallica #468 and the blue was wet “n” wild blue moon #466. I also used ring reinforcements to create the “moon”.

Steps:

1. Paint your nails with a base coat. Let dry completely.

2. Paint all your nails silver. Let dry. Repeat step as many times as needed to create a solid looking colour.

3. Place a ring reinforcement on your finger like shown in the picture below.

4. Paint above the reinforcement blue. Let dry. Repeat this step as many times as needed to have a solid colour.

5. Apply a clear coat to help you manicure last longer.

Fashion Friday

Jean Shirt

 

 

 

This are the five ways I like to style jean shirts.

 

The first way is currently my favourite because it is casual but cute. The second is nice to just wear over top of any shirt if it is a little colder out. The third I like because it is different and fun to just change it up and the last two I like to add scarves to just add a pop of colour to my outfit or to dress it up a little more.

My name is Kristen, I am a College Student. I love fashion and creativity, many people do not actually know this about me because I spend most of my time at school, working or doing sports.

Within the past three years I have realized I love fashion and want to be more creative and make DIY’s and things like that because it is something I really enjoy. This blog will mostly be posts about fashion, DIY’s and nails.

I will be posting 2 times every week. One week will be Tuesday & Friday and the following will be Monday & Wednesday. Then back to Tuesday & Friday so on and so forth. Tuesdays will be random posts about everything and anything or what ever is requested. Friday will be Fashion, Monday will be Manicures and Wednesday will be DIY's. I will try to stick to this schedule as much as possible however please remember that I am a full time student and I work.
